Wycombe Abbey

The areas Pinnacle designed and furnished were the downstairs primary common room, the food technology rooms in the food tech block and the kitchens for the boarding students.

In the downstairs primary common room we did a refurbishment, the school wanted more space for the children and to brighten the space. We used fun items such as bespoke bean bags and bespoke bench seating in a variety of colours to evoke warmth and fun, as well as placing a multi-coloured carpet to match the furniture colours. The stairs leading down to the space also feature bright pinks and oranges to boost the mood of the area.

The food technology rooms were more advanced, with structural engineering works taking place to take down some of the walls, replacing them with structural steel works. A new hot water system was installed as well as new windows, new window blinds, new drainage systems, lighting and suspended ceilings. Bespoke teacher walls were installed, with specific configurations for discipline, including food storage sections and draw units. We also brought some of the design outside adding exterior fixtures to the building.

Pinnacle refurbished the dormitory kitchens using our standard package. We wanted the space to be light and modern and used calming blues in the tiles and light wood tables and chairs.
