There were several spaces Pinnacle were appointed to work on:

The boarding quarters
In the boarding quarters, we implemented individual privacy screens, reading lights, and charging points for devices at each bed. Additionally, we provided wardrobes, and work desks with built-in storage and desktop lamps, along with mirrors, coat hooks, and towel rails to enhance the amenities available on-site.

The Science block
The science block was equipped with specialised features such as teacher walls, wet labs and dry labs with custom-made mobile fume cupboards designed to fit the limited space.

Each lab had a teacher’s wall that covered the entire width and height, a service teacher’s desk which included a continuous mobile fume cupboard as well as benching across the rear, loose tables and stools. Furthermore, the labs included service pedestals, sinks and gas outlets.

The breakout area
Within the breakout area, we collaborated within an already established room that showcased a central atrium feature. To optimise acoustic performance, the room was divided using bespoke joinery and metalwork components, offering both seating and storage solutions.

The library
The library featured custom-made carpentry and metalwork components to achieve a cohesive furniture design that seamlessly integrated library shelves, booths, and banquet seating.

The dining area
In the dining area, there was a prominent centerpiece shaped like a ‘house’, which also incorporated a double-sided TV zone. Additionally, banquet seating and IT benching were strategically placed along the perimeter, not only maximising the room’s capacity but also cleverly concealing the existing radiators.
