Kingsmead School approached Pinnacle Furniture to undergo a full refurbishment of their 6 multi-purpose Science Laboratories, a theory room and 2 prep rooms to improve the quality of the school facilities.
The Brief
Based in Enfield, Kingsmead School is a mixed secondary school and sixth form who required 6 new multipurpose science labs, 1 theory and 2 prep rooms. The client approached Pinnacle to design and coordinate the mechanical and electrical services of the laboratories, whilst also requiring the space to be hard-wearing and compliant with health and safety regulations. The brief also included the challenging element of working with an existing 3 storey concrete structured building from the 1960s.
What We Did
With assistance from our FF&E, refurbishment and furniture department, Pinnacle worked with the School and Surveyor to ensure a fully satisfactory result by redesigning the science facilities into a vibrant working space.
Our Design Team opted for a versatile TeacherWall system with sliding whiteboard doors accompanied with Capacity Storage units and Postura+ stools for a sleek design. Equally, the solid grade laminate worktops, fixed and mobile fume cupboards and slip resistant vinyl created a practical yet stylish space.
